SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been scattered in Magway Region and (Northern and Eastern)Shan State, fairly widespread in Sagaing and Ayeyarwady Regions, Kachin and Rakhine States and widespread in Naypyitaw, Mandalay, Bago, Yangon and Taninthayi Regions, Southern Shan, Chin, Kayah, Kayin and Mon States with regionally heavy falls in Naypyitaw and Mandalay Region, isolated heavy falls in Lower Sagaing Region. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were Pyawbwe (5.39)inches, Naypyitaw(Yezin) (4.21)inches, Naypyitaw(Zabuthiri) (3.66)inches, Pyinmana (3.54)inches, Naypyitaw(Pobbathiri) (2.95)inches, Lashio (2.84)inches, Naypyitaw(Otarathiri) (2.68)inches, Naypyitaw(Zayarthiri) (2.24)inches, Katha (2.04)inches, Mudon (2.01)inches, Mawlamyine (1.89)inches and Pinlaung (1.85)inches.
BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at (10:00)hrs M.S.T today, the low pressure area over the North Bay of Bengal and adjoining coastal Bangladesh and coastal West Bengal has intensified into a depression and has crossed near Kolkata (India).Weather is partly cloudy to cloudy over the North Bay and East Central Bay and monsoon is weak over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 10th OCTOBER, 2017: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Kachin, (Northern and Eastern)Shan State, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, Sagaing, Mandalay and Magway Regions, Southern Shan, Chin and Rakhine States and widespread in Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions, Kayah, Kayin and Mon States with isolated heavy falls in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing and Mandalay Regions. STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (3-6) feet in along Myanmar Coast.
