BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is strong over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and weak to moderate over the Eastcentral Bay and Northeast Bay of Bengal. Weather is partly cloudy elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL EVENING OF THE 07th June, 2021: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Naypyitaw, Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway Regions and Kayah State, fairly widespread in Ayeyarwady Region and Shan State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Taninthayi Region and Kayin, Mon States. Degree of certainty is (80%).
STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (30-35)m.p.h. Sea will be moderate elsewhere in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (6-9) feet in Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts and about (5-7) feet in Deltaic, off and along Rakhine Coast.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Increase of rain in Upper Sagaing, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Shan, Rakhine, Kayin, Mon States.
