SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, weather have been partly cloudy in Kayah and Kayin States, rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Yangon Region and Mon State, scattered in Naypyitaw, Mandalay and Bago Regions, fairly widespread in Upper Sagaing, Magway, Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions, Kachin, Eastern Shan and Rakhine States and widespread in Lower Sagaing Region, Shan (North and South) and Chin States with regionally heavy falls in Upper Sagaing and Mandalay Regions and isolated heavy falls in Lower Sagaing and Magway Regions. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were Thabeikkyin (4.53)inches, Tamu (4.13)inches, Kyaukhtu (2.45)inches, Katha, Tongzan and Loilin (2.28)inches each, Homalin (2.05)inches, Myitsone (1.69)inches, Tagaung (1.57)inches and Myinmu (1.50)inches.
BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is weak over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 14th September, 2017: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Kayah, Kayin and Mon States, scattered in Naypyitaw, Mandaly, Magway, Bago and Yangon Regions, Shan (East and South)State, fairly widespread in Lower Sagaing, Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions, Northern Shan, Chin and Rakhine States and widespread in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin State with likelihood of isolated heavy falls in Upper Sagaing and Mandalay Regions and Kachin State. Degree of certainly is (80%).
STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (4-7) feet in along Myanmar Coasts.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of increase of rain in Taninthayi Region.
