26-11-2025:According to the observations at 15:30 hrs MST today, the Cyclonic Storm “SENYAR” over the Strait of Malacca and adjoining Northeast Indonesia has moved West-Southwestwards and start to cross coastal areas of Indonesia. It is centered at about 305Nautical miles South of Kawthaung (Myanmar), 155 Nautical miles West-Southwest of Penang(Malaysia), 45 Nautical miles East of Kuta Makmur(Indonesia) and  395 Nautical miles Southeast of Car Nicobar (India). According to the observations at 15:30 hrs MST today, the Well Marked Low pressure Area over the Southwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining areas of Southeast Sri Lanka still persists. It is likely to move North-Northwestwards and further intensify into a depression during next 24 hours. Weather is a few cloud over the North Bay, partly cloudy over the Central Bay and cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

BAY INFERENCE:   According to the observation at (06:30)hrs M.S.T today, the low pressure area over Northwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining  Westcentral Bay of Bengal and Odisha Coast(India) still persists.Monsoon is moderate to strong over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL EVENING OF THE 28th August, 2017: Rain or thundershowers will be fairly widespread in Mandalay and Magway Regions, Nothern Shan State, widespread in Naypyitaw, Sagaing, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions, Kachin, (Eastern and Southern)Shan, Chin, Rakhine, Kayah, Kayin and Mon States with likelihood of isolated heavy falls in Upper Sagaing, Yangon, Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions, Kachin, Kayin and Mon States. Degree of certainly is (80%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (35)m.p.h. Wave height will be about (7-11)feet in along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Moderate to strong monsoon.
