BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is moderate to strong over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and moderate elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL EVENING OF THE 24thAugust, 2017: Rain or thundershowers will be fairly widespread in Sagaing, Mandalay and Magway widespread in Naypyitaw ,Bago Yangon Ayeyarwady , Taninthayi Regions,Kachin , Shan, Chin, Rakhine, Kayah, Kayin and Mon States with likelihood of isolated heavy falls in Naypyitaw,MandalayBago ,Taninthayi Region,KAchin Shan,Kayah, Kayin and Mon States. Degree of certainly is (80%).
STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (35-40) m.p.h. Sea will be moderate elsewhere in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (8-11)feet in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts and (5-7)feet in along Rakhine Coast
