BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is strong to vigorous over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and moderate elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL AFTERNOON OF THE 6thAugust, 2017: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay Regions, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw and Magway Regions and widespread in Upper Sagaing, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions, Kachin, Shan, Chin, Rakhine, Kayah, Kayin and Mon States with likelihood of isolated heavy falls in Upper Sagaing, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions, Kachin, Kayin and Mon States. Degree of certainly is (100%).
STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with rough seas will be experienced at times Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon -Taninthayi Coast. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (35-40) m.p.h. Seas will be moderate elsewhere in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (8-12) feet in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon - Taninthayi Coast and (5 - 7)feet in along Rakhine Coast.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Increases of rain in Upper Sagaing and Taninthayi Regions, Kachin, Kayin and Mon States.
