10-1-2026: According to the observations at 05:30 hrs MST today, the Deep Depression over the Southwest Bay of Bengal has moved Northwestwards. It is centered at about 855 Nautical miles Southwest of Coco-Island (Myanmar), 55 Nautical miles East-Northeast of Trincomalee (Sri Lanka) and 270 Nautical miles Southeast of Puducherry(Sri Lanka). It is likely to move Northwestwards, weaken into a Depression and may cross North Sri Lanka coast between Trincomalee and Jaffna. Weather is a few cloud over the Andaman Sea, North Bay and Eastcentral Bay and partly cloudy to cloudy elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is strong  over the Andaman Sea and the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL AFTERNOON OF THE 7th July, 2017: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Lower Sagaing and Magway Regions, Shan (East and South) State, scattered in Mandalay Region, Northern Shan and Kayah States and widespread in Naypyitaw, Upper Sagaing, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions, Kachin, Chin, Rakhine, Kayin and Mon States with likelihood of isolated heavy falls in Yangon, Ayeyarwady Region and Rakhine State. Degree of certainly is (100%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times  off and along Myanmar Coast. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (30-35) m.p.h.  Wave height will be about (6 - 9) feet  in  Myanmar Coast.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of increase of rain in Upper Sagaing and Taninthayi Regions, Kachin and Mon States.
