SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Lower Sagaing and Mandalay Regions, scattered in Magway Region, Northern Shan and Kayah States, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, Shan (East and South) and Rakhine States and widespread in Upper Sagaing, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions, Kachin, Chin, Kayin and Mon States with isolated heavy falls in Yangon Region, Rakhine and Mon States. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were Kyaukpyu (4.17)inches, Coco Island (3.35)inches,  Kyeikkhame (3.19)inches, Putao (2.88)inches, Thaton (2.83)inches, Kamamaung  and Paung (2.76)inches each, Chaungsone (2.48)inches, Mudon and Belin (2.13)inches each.

BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is strong over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 25th June, 2017: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Lower Sagaing and Mandalay Regions, scattered in Naypyitaw, Magway Region and Kayah State, fairly widespread in Shan and Chin States, widespread in Upper Sagaing, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions, Kachin, Rakhine, Kayin and Mon States with likelihood of isolated heavy falls in Bago, Yangon and Taninthayi Regions, Rakhine and Mon States. Degree of certainly is (100%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (35) m.p.h. Wave height will be about (6 - 9) feet along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Continuation of strong monsoon.
