4-11-2025: According to the observations at 17:30 hrs MST today, the well marked low pressure area over the Northeast Bay and adjoining Eastcentral Bay of Bengal and off and along Rakhine coasts still persist. It is likely to move North-Northwestwards and may reach over the Northeast Bay of Bengal and adjoining off and along Northern Rakhine coasts, Myanmar and coastal area of Bangladesh on 5-11-2025. Weather is cloudy over the North Bay of Bengal and partly cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, weather has been partly cloudy in Lower Sagaing and Taninthayi Regions, rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Yangon Region, scattered in Magway Region, fairly widespread in Upper Sagaing,  Mandalay and Ayeyarwady Regions, Kachin, Kayah and Kayin States, widespread in Naypyitaw, Bago Region, Shan, Chin, Rakhine and Mon States with regionally heavy falls in Rakhine State and isolated heavy falls in Kachin State. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were Taungkok (7.87)inches, Myauk U (5.31)inches, Maungdaw (3.87)inches, Machanbaw (3.46)inches, Myitkyina (2.96) inches, Kyauktaw and Zaungtu  (2.88)inches each, Taunggu (2.72)inches, Sittwe (2.60)inches, Kyaukpyu (2.56) inches and Tiddim (2.40)inches.

BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is weak to moderate over the Andaman Sea and Southeast Bay and strong elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 17th June, 2017: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Lower Sagaing, Magway and Taninthayi Regions, fairly widespread in Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions, Kayah and Kayin States, widespread in Naypyitaw, Upper Sagaing, Mandalay and Bago Regions, Kachin, Shan, Chin, Rakhine, and Mon States with likelihood of regionally heavy falls in Rakhine State and isolated heavy falls in Upper Sagaing Region, Kachin and Chin States. STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with rough seas are likely attimes Deltaic, off and along Rakhine Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (35-40) m.p.h. Seas will be moderate elsewhere in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (8 - 10) feet in Deltaic and Rakhine Coasts and (4 - 6) feet in Gulf of Mottama and Mon - Taninthayi Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS:  Increase of rain in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin State.
