SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been fairly widespread in Yangon Region and Kayah State, scattered in Bago and Ayeyarwady Regions and isolated in Naypyitaw, Rakhine, Kayin and Mon States. Weather has been partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. Night temperatures were (2°C) below November average temperatures in Yangon Region and Kachin State, (3°C) to (4°C) above November average temperatures in Magway and Bago Regions, (Eastern and Southern)Shan, Rakhine, Kayah, Kayin and Mon States and (2°C) above November average temperature in Chin State and about November average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant night temperatures were (8°C) in Hakha, (9°C) in Putao and (10°C) each in Thipaw, Tiddim and Ramthlo. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were Bago (1.34)inches, Coco Island and Hlegu (0.47)inch each, Yangon(Kaba-Aye) (0.24)inch, Thaton (0.19)inch and Taunggu (0.16)inch.
BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at (13:30)hrs M.S.T today, the Cyclonic Storm (Gaja) over the West Central Bay of Bengal has moved Westward. It is centered at about (375)miles East of Chennai (India) and about (430)miles East- Northeast of Nagapattinam (India). Weather is partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 13th November, 2018: Weather will be partly cloudy in Upper Sagaing Region, Kachin and Northern Shan States. Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Taninthayi Region, Kayin and Mon States, scattered in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing, Mandalay and Magway Regions, Chin and Rakhine States and Fairly widespread in the remaining Regions and States. Degree of certainty is (80%).
STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with rough sea are likely at times off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (35-40)mph. Wave height will be about (8-10)feet in off and along Myanmar Coasts.
