SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been scattered in Ayeyarwady Region, fairly widespread in Magway and Yangon Regions, Rakhine and Mon States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavy falls in Mandalay Region and isolated heavy falls in Lower Sagaing and Ayeyarwady Regions and Chin State. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were Pathein (4.10)inches, Mahlaing (3.10)inches, Tiddim (3.07)inches, Payathonsu (2.24)inches, Yeu (2.09)inches, Meiktila (1.85)inches, Hlaingbwe (1.69)inches, Naungcho (1.54)inches and Pinlaebu, (1.46)inches.
BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is weak over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 11th September, 2018: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Magway and Ayeyarwady Regions and Kayah State, fairly widespread in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Bago, Yangon and Taninthayi Regions, Shan, Rakhinem Kayin and Mon States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavy falls in Upper Sagaing Region, Kachin and Chin States.
