SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24)hours, weather has been partly cloudy in Kayah State, rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Mandalay and Magway Regions, scattered in Naypyitaw and Lower Sagaing Region, fairly widespread in Bago Region  and Southern Shan State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavy falls in  Taninthayi  Region, Rakhine and Mon States and isolated heavy falls in Upper Sagaing Region and Kayin State. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were Dawei (10.55)inches, Launglon (5.35) inches, Maungdaw (4.88)inches, Thaton (4.26)inches, Paung (4.06)inches, Thandwe (3.86)inches, Kawthaung (3.82)inches, Gwa and Yay (3.46) inches each, Kyeikmayaw  (3.31)inches, Hpa-an (3.23)inches, Chaungsone (3.19)inches  and Katha (3.03)inches.

BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is strong to vigorous over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 31th JULY, 2018: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Mandalay and Magway Regions, scattered in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing Region and Kayah State, fairly widespread in Southern Shan State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavy falls in Taninthayi Region, Rakhine, Kayin and Mon States and isolated heavy falls in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin State. Degree of certainty is (100%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with rough seas are likely at times off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (35-40) m.p.h. Wave height will be about (9 - 13) feet in off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Strong monsoon.
