8-1-2026 : According to the observations at 15:30 hrs MST today, the Deep Depression over Southwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining East Equatorial Indian Ocean has moved West-Northwestwards and it is centered at about 735 Nautical miles Southwest of Coco- Island (Myanmar), 250 Nautical miles Southeast of Trincomalee(Sri Lanka) and 455 Nautical miles South-Southeast of Puducherry(Sri Lanka).Weather is cloudy over the South Andaman Sea and South Bay, partly cloudy over the Central Bay and a few cloud over the North Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24)hours, rain or thundershowers have been scattered in Lower Sagaing and Magway Regions, Southern Shan State, fairly widespread in Mandalay Region and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavy falls in Naypyitaw, Rakhine, Kayin and Mon States and isolated heavy falls in Bago, Yangon and Taninthayi Regions and Kachin State. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were Belin (7.72) inches, Ann (6.97)inches, Kyauktaw (6.81)inches, Taungkok (6.77)inches, Hpa-an (5.51)inches, Thaton (4.69)inches, Paung (4.53)inches, Payathonsu (4.41)inches, Myauk U and Yay (4.25)inches each, Kyeikdon (4.04)inches, Thandwe (3.74)inches, Mogaung (3.35)inches, Khayan and Dawei (3.18)inches each, Mawlamyine (3.15)inches, Nyaunglaybin and Theinzayet (3.03)inches each.

BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is moderate over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.
