SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, weather has been partly cloudy in Lower Sagaing Region, rain or thundershowers have been widespread in Yangon and Taninthayi Regions, Eastern Shan and Kayah States, fairly widespread in Bago and Ayeyarwady Regions, Kachin and Northern Shan States, scattered in Naypyitaw, Upper Sagaing Region, Southern Shan, Rakhine and Mon States and isolated in the remaining Regions and States. Day temperatures were (3°C) to (4°C) above May average temperatures in Mandalay, Magway, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions, Eastern Shan, Kayin and Mon States, (2°C) above May average temperatures in Lower Sagaing Region, Southern Shan and Rakhine States and about May average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant day temperatures were (43°C) in Chauk, (42°C) in Pauk and (41°C) each in Myingyan and Nyaung Oo. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were Labutta (2.76)inches, Hmawbi (2.68)inches, Namsam (1.49)inches, Mingaladon (1.46)inches, Putao (1.33)inches, Lashio (1.30)inches, Yangon(North Dagon) (1.26)inches, Pathein (1.14)inchses and Ngathaichaung (1.06)inches.
BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at (13:30)hrs M.S.T today, the low pressure area over the Southwest Bay of Bengal still persists. Monsoon is moderate over the Andaman Sea and Southeast Bay of Bengal. Weather is a few cloud over the North Bay and partly cloudy to cloudy elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 27th MAY, 2018: Rain or thundershowers will be widespread in Taninthayi Region, fairly widespread in Upper Sagaing, Bago, Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions, Kachin, (Northern and Eastern) Shan, Rakhine, Kayin and Mon States, scattered in Naypyitaw, Mandalay Region, Southern Shan, Chin and Kayah States and isolated in Lower Sagaing and Magway Regions. Degree of certainty is (80%).
STATE OF THE SEA: Seas will be moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (4- 8) feet in off and along Myanmar Coasts.
