SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED FROM YESTERDAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T TO TODAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past 24 hours, weather has been partly cloudy in Bago Region and Rakhine State. Rain or thundershower have been isolated in Kachin, (Northern and Eastern)Shan State, scattered in Upper Sagaing Region and Kayin State, fairly widespread in Yangon, Magway, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions, Kayah, Mon States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavyfalls in Mandalay Region. Day temperatures were 6°C above April average temperature in Kachin State, 2°C below April average temperatures in Naypyitaw, Mandalay, Magway, Lower Sagaing, Ayeyarwady Regions, Kayah, Rakhine States, 3°C to 4°C below April average temperatures in Yangon, Bago Regions and Southern Shan State and 8°C below April average temperature in Eastern Shan State and about April average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant day temperatures were 42.5°C in Chauk, 40.0°C in Sinbyugyun, 39.0°C each in Shwebo, Monywa, 38.7°C in Mingin, 38.6°C in Aunglan, 38.5°C in Nyaunglaybin, Magway and Dawei and 38.2°C in Myawaddy on 14-4-2025. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were 4.72 inches in Kyaukse(Lunkyaw), 3.19 inches in Nyaung Oo, 2.91 inches in Kyaukse, 2.18 inches in Taungtha, 2.15 inches in Mahlaing, 1.26 inches in Kanbalu, 1.18 inches in Chauk, 1.10 inches in Mawlamyinkyun, 1.06 inches in Pyinoolwin and 0.87 inch in Myingyan.
BAYINFERENCE: Weather is partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and Eastcentral Bay and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 16th April 2025: Rain or thundershower will be widespread in Naypyitaw, Yangon, Mandalay Regions and Mon, (Southern and Eastern)Shan States, fairly widespread in Bago, Lower Sagaing, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kayah, Chin States, scattered in Magway, Upper Sagaing Regions and Kachin, Kayin, Northern Shan States and isolated in Rakhine State. Degree of certainty is 80%.
THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Yangon, Bago, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kayin, Chin, Mon, Rakhine States. The area along the Cumulonimbus clouds movement, the weather phenomena such as strong winds accompanied with rain, thunder, lightning and hail may occur and therefore it is recommended to be aware in advance these phenomena.
STATE OF THE SEA: STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about 4-7 feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Rain or thundershower scattered to fairly widespread in Yangon, Bago, Sagaing, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Kayin, Chin, Mon, Northern Shan States.
