 SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED FROM YESTERDAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T TO TODAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past 24 hours, rain have been fairly widespread in Taninthayi Region, scattered in Kayin, Mon, Southern Shan States, isolated in Yangon, Mandalay, Ayeyarwady Regions and Chin, Rakhine States and weather has been partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. Day temperatures were 6°C above April average temperature in Kachin State, 3°C above April average temperatures in Kayin and Mon States, 2°C above April average temperature in Taninthayi Region, 2°C below April average temperatures in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing Regions and Kayah, Rakhine, Eastern Shan States, 3°C below April average temperature in Magway Region and about April average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant day temperatures were 40.4°C in Hpa-an, 40.3°C in Kawkareik and Theinzayet, 40.2°C in Belin, 40.0 °C each in Chauk and Mawlamyine, 39.8°C in Nyaung Oo, 39.2°C in Kyaukse, 39.0 °C each in Naypyitaw(Zabuthiri), Tada U(Avia-Met) and Nyaunglaybin on 8-4-2025. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were 0.39 inch in Hakha, 0.35 inch in Mawlamyinkyun, 0.12 inch each in Dawei and Kawkareik and 0.08 inch in Kyeikkhame.

BAYINFERENCE: According to the observations at 13:30 hrs M.S.T today, the well marked low pressure area over Westcentral and adjoining Southwest Bay of Bengal still persists. It is likely to move nearly Northwards during next 12 hrs. Thereafter, it is likely to recurve North-Northeastwards and weaken gradually over central Bay of Bengal during next 36 hrs. Weather is partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 9th April 2025: Rain will be fairly widespread in Taninthayi Region and Southern Shan State, scattered in Chin, (Northern and Eastern)Shan States and isolated in the remaining Regions and StatesDegree of certainty is 80%.

STATE OF THE SEA: STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about 5-8 feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Rain or thundershower scattered in Naypyitaw, Yangon, Mandalay, Bago, Magway, Sagaing, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Kayah, Kayin, Chin, Mon, Rakhine, Shan States.
