Bay of Bengal Condition
Southwest monsoon is likely to set in Southern Myanmar Areas during (13-18) of May, Deltaic Areas during (19-24) of May, Central Myanmar Areas during (25 – 31) May. Two Low Pressure Areas may form over the Bay of Bengal and one may further intensify into a Depression. During this monsoon period, monsoon will be weak to moderate. Weather will be partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and South Bay of Bengal and partly cloudy elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
Rain Condition and Rainy Days
Rain or thundershower will be expected below normal in Sagaing Region and Kachin, Northern Shan, Chin States and about normal in and Naypyitaw, Mandalay, Magway, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and (Southern and Eastern) Shan, Rakhine, Kayah, Kayin, Mon States.
Rainy days will be expected about (17 to 22) days in Taninthayi Region and Kachin, Eastern Shan, Kayin, Mon States, about (11 to 16) days in Upper Sagaing, East Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and Northern and Southern Shan, Chin, Rakhine, Kayah States and about (5 to 10) days in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway, West Bago Regions.

Day temperature will be (1.5°C) above normal of May average maximum temperatures in Naypyitaw, Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway Regions and Kachin, Shan, Kayah States and about normal of May average maximum temperatures in Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Chin, Rakhine, Kayin, Mon States.
