Bay of Bengal Condition
Southwest monsoon is likely to set in Central Myanmar Areas during (1-5) of June and the whole country during (6-10) of June. Two Low Pressure Areas may form over the Bay of Bengal and one may further intensify into the Depression. During this monsoon period, monsoon will be moderate.
Rain Conditions and Rainy Days
Rain or thundershowers will be expected below normal in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway, Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions, Rakhine and Mon States and about normal in Upper Sagaing, Bago and Taninthayi Regions, Kachin, Shan, Chin, Kayah and Kayin States.
Rainy days will be expected 16 to 21 days in Upper Sagaing, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions, Kachin, Northern and Southern Shan, Rakhine, Kayin and Mon States and 10 to 15 days in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay and Magway Regions, Eastern Shan, Chin and Kayah States.
