26-5-2024: According to the observations at (09:30) hrs M.S.T today, the Cyclonic Storm “REMAL” over North Bay of Bengal has moved nearly Northwards and intensified into a Severe Cyclonic Storm “REMAL”. It is centered at about (290) Nautical miles West-Northwest of Thandwe, (205) Nautical miles West-Southwest of Sittwe (Myanmar), (155) Nautical miles South-Southwest of Khepupara, (185) Nautical miles South of Mongla, (Bangladesh), (150) Nautical miles South-Southeast of Sagar Island, (160) Nautical miles South-Southeast of Digha and (170) Nautical miles South-Southeast of Canning (West Bangal, India). Monsoon is strong over the Andaman Sea and Southeast Bay of Bengal of Bengal and weather is cloudy elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

   According to the (12:30) hrs M.S.T observation today, the water level of   Ayeyarwady River at Mandalay is (344) cm. It may remain below its minimum alert water level (360) cm during the next second (10) days of January, 2021.
