(3.12.2020) According to the observations at (18:30) hrs M.S.T today, the Cyclonic Storm (Burevi) over Gulf of Manner has moved Westwards and it is centered at about (5) Nautical miles South-Southwest of Pamban and about (120) Nautical miles Northeast of Kanyakumari (India). Weather is cloudy over the Westcentral and Southwest Bay and partly cloudy over the Andaman sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

According to the observations at (13:30)hrs MST today, the low pressure area over North Andaman Sea now lies over North Andaman Sea and adjoining East central Bay of Bengal. It may further intensify into a depression over Central Bay of Bengal during next (24)hours.

General Caution

          Due to the low pressure area, rain or thundershowers will be fairly widespread to widespread in Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kayin, Mon States with likelihood of regionally heavy falls and isolated heavy falls. Occasional squalls with rough seas are likely off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (35-40)m.p.h.  Wave height will be about (8-11) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts during commencing noon today to (13.10.2020).

Due to the low pressure area, people should be aware heavy rainfall with strong wind, flash flood and landslide near the hilly areas and also small rivers.
