23-11-2024: According to the observations at (12:30) hrs M.S.T today, the low pressure area has formed over East Equatorial India Ocean and adjoining Southeast Bay of Bengal still persists. It is likely to move West-Northwestwards and may further intensify into a depression over South Bay of Bengal around 25-11-2024. Thereafter, its likely to move Northwestwards and may reach to Tamil Nadu(India)-Sri Lanka coasts during next 2 days. Weather is cloudy over the South Andaman Sea and South Bay of Bengal and a few cloud to partly cloudy over the North Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

Issued at (14:00) hours M.S.T on 8- 7-2022

      According to the observations at (13:30) hrs MST today, due to 
strong monsoon over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal, rain or 
thundershowers will be fairly widespread to widespread in Bago, 
Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Rakhine, Kayin, Mon 
States with likelihood of regionally heavy falls and isolated heavyfalls 
with strong wind during from (10.7.2022) to (14.7.2022).

During this period, rain are likely to be (3)inches (77-mm) and above

in Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions, Rakhine, Kayin

and Mon States within (24)hours.

 Squall with rough seas are likely at times off and along Myanmar Coast.

Surface wind speed in squall may reach (35-40) mph. Wave height will be

about (8-12) feet in off and along Myanmar Coast.

Advisory

          Due to strong monsoon, people should be awared the heavy rainfall

with strong wind, the natural disasters such as flash flood and landslide in

the hilly areas and near small rivers and domestic flight, trawlers, vessels

and ships off and along Myanmar Coasts.
