27-11-2024: According to the observations at (05:30) hrs M.S.T today, the Depression over Southwest Bay of Bengal has moved Northwards. It is centered at about 745 Nautical miles Southwest of CoCo Island (Myanmar), 355 Nautical miles South-Southeast of Chennai (India). Weather is cloudy over the South Andaman Sea, South Bay and Central Bay of Bengal and partly cloudy over the North Andaman Sea and North Bay of Bengal.

According to the (14:30) hrs M.S.T observation today, the water level of Sittoung River at Madauk is observed as about (½) foot below its danger level. It may reach its danger level during the next (2) days.
It is especially advised to the people who settle near the river banks and low lying area at Madauk Township to take precaution measure.
