23-5-2024: According to the observations at (05:30) hrs M.S.T today, the Low Pressure Area over the Southwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining Westcentral Bay of Bengal still persists. It is likely to move northeastwards and intensify into a Depression over Central Bay of Bengal around 24-5-2024. Thereafter, it may continue to move northeastwards, further intensify and reach Northeast and adjoining Northwest Bay of Bengal around 25-5-2024 evening.Weather is a few cloud over the North Bay and cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
EARTHQUAKE NEWS
A slight earthquake of magnitude (4.4) Richter Scale with its epicenter inside Myanmar (about (7)miles east of Rikhawdar), latitude 23.34°N, longitude 93.50°E, depth (10)kilometers, about (48)miles north-northwest of Hakha seismological observatory was recorded at (19)hr (59)min (44)sec M.S.T on 15th September, 2021.
