30-11-2024: According to the observations at (15:30) hrs M.S.T today, the Cyclonic Storm “FENGAL” over Southwest Bay of Bengal has moved West-Northwestwards. It is centered at about 755 Nautical miles West of Coco Island (Myanmar), 50 Nautical miles South-Southeast of Chennai and 55 Nautical miles East-Northeast of Puducherry (India). Weather is cloudy over the Bay of Bengal and partly cloudy over the Andaman Sea.

Condition of Depression

            According to the observations at (13:30)hrs M.S.T today, the depression over Westcentral Bay of Bengal, its centered at about (180)miles south-southeast of Puri and (235)miles South of Chandbali India. It is likely to move North-Northwest wards. It is forecast to further intensify and cross Odisha coast near Puri and Chandbali during next (24)hours.It is not moving towards Myanmar coasts, the present stage of the depression is coded yellow stage.

Position of depression, Center pressure and wind

            Depression is located at Latitude (16.8) degree North and Longitude (86.5) degree East, Centre pressure of depression is (1000) hPa and maximum wind speed near the center is (35) miles per hour at (13:30) hrs MST today.

Advisory

Trawlers, vessels and ships off and along Myanmar Coasts are advised especially to notice  in condition of the depression.
