4-11-2025: According to the observations at 17:30 hrs MST today, the well marked low pressure area over the Northeast Bay and adjoining Eastcentral Bay of Bengal and off and along Rakhine coasts still persist. It is likely to move North-Northwestwards and may reach over the Northeast Bay of Bengal and adjoining off and along Northern Rakhine coasts, Myanmar and coastal area of Bangladesh on 5-11-2025. Weather is cloudy over the North Bay of Bengal and partly cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

Depression

According to the observations at (13:30)hrs M.S.T today, the Depression over Southwest Bay of Bengal has moved West-Southwest wards and centered at about (610) Nautical miles Southwest of Coco–Island, (710) Nautical miles Southwest of Hainggyigyun(Myanmar), (175) Nautical miles East-Northeast of Trincomalee(Sri Lanka), (230) Nautical miles East of Nagappattinam and (260) Nautical miles Southeast of Chennai(India).

It is not moving towards Myanmar coasts, the present stage of the Depression is coded yellow stage.

Position of Depression, center pressure and wind

            The Depression is located at Latitude (10.3) degree North and Longitude (83.7) degree East, centre pressure of Depression is (1004) hPa and maximum wind speed near the center is (30-35) miles per hour at (13:30) hrs MST today.

During next (36) hrs forecast

 The Depression is likely continue to move West-Southwest wards and reach to Sri Lanka coast around (25.12.2022).

General caution

Due to the Depression, rain or thundershowers are likely to be isolated in Naypyitaw, Mandalay, Magway, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and Shan (South and East), Rakhine States from today afternoon to next (48) hrs. Squalls with moderate to rough sea are likely at time off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squall may reach (30-35) mph. Wave height will be about (6-9) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
