SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been scattered in Kachin State, fairly widespread in Mandalay and Magway Regions and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavy falls in Lower Sagaing and Bago Regions, Rakhine State and isolated heavy falls in Mandalay Region and Kayin State. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were Ann (8.58)inches, Kanbalu (7.83) inches, Maungdaw (4.21)inches, Yeu (3.94)inches, Kyauktaw (3.90)inches, Shwegyin (3.78)inches, Madauk (3.66)inches, Thandaunggyi (3.35)inches, Thipaw and Thaton (2.99)inches each.
BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is strong to vigorous in the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL EVENING OF THE 19th July, 2015: Rain or thundershowers will be fairly widespread in Magway Region, Kachin and Kayah States, widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavy falls in Sagaing, Mandalay, Bago Regions, Shan, Rakhine, Kayin and Mon States. Degree of certainty is (100%).
STATE OF THE SEA: Occasional squalls with rough sea will be experienced off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (40) m.p.h.
