SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24)hours, rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Magway Region, scattered in Lower Sagaing and Mandalay Regions, fairly widespread in Ayeyarwady Region and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavy falls in Bago Region, Rakhine and Mon States and isolated heavy falls in Kachin and Kayin States. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were Myauk U (9.29)inches, Zaung Tu (7.79) inches, Maungdaw (7.13)inches, Kyauktaw (6.73)inches, Ann (6.26)inches, Theinzayet (6.02)inches, Kyeikkhame (4.57)inches, Shwekyin (3.62)inches, Madauk (3.50)inches, Kamamaung (3.30)inches, Mogaung (3.03)inches, Paletwa (2.83)inches, Shwegone (2.80)inches, Naunglaybin (2.52)inches and Kawkareik (2.36)inches.  

BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is moderate to strong over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 26th JULY, 2018: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Mandalay and Magway Regions, fairly widespread in Lower Sagaing Region and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavy falls in Rakhine, Kayin and Mon States and isolated heavy falls in Upper Sagaing, Bago and Yangon Regions, Kachin and Chin States. Degree of certainty is (100%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (35)m.p.h. Wave height will be about (6 -9)feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Continuations of increase of rain in Rakhine, Kayin and Mon States.
