SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24)hours, rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Lower Sagaing Region, scattered in Mandalay and Magway Regions, Northern Shan State, fairly widespread in Taninthayi Region and (Eastern and Southern)Shan State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavy falls in Yangon Region and Kayin State and isolated heavy falls in Taninthayi Region and Mon State. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were Belin (6.42)inches, Khayan (4.09)inches, Dawei (3.90)inches, Kawkareik (3.82) inches, Yangon(North Dagon) (3.74)inches, Shwegone (3.28)inches, Kamamaung (3.19)inches, Shan-Ywar-Thit (3.10)inches, Myawaddy (3.08)inches, Pinlaebu and Maungdaw (2.95)inches each, Gwa (2.91)inches, Paing Kyone (2.56)inches, Thandaunggyi (2.52)inches, Gyobingauk (2.48)inches, Taungkok (2.40)inches and Taunggu (2.36)inches.
BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at (13:30)hrs M.S.T today, the low pressure area over the Northwest Bay of Bengal has moved to Odisha Coast, India. Monsoon is moderate to strong over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 17th JULY, 2018: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Lower Sagaing Region, Scattered in Mandalay and Magway Regions and Northern Shan State, fairly widespread in (Eastern and Southern)Shan State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavy falls in Taninthayi Region, Rakhine, Kayin and Mon States.
