24-11-2024: According to the observations at (05:30) hrs M.S.T today, the low pressure area over East Equatorial India Ocean and adjoining Southeast Bay of Bengal still persists. It is likely to move West-Northwestwards and may further intensify into a depression over South Bay of Bengal around 25-11-2024. Thereafter, its likely to move Northwestwards and may reach to Tamil Nadu(India)-Sri Lanka coasts during next 2 days. Weather is cloudy over the South Andaman Sea, South Bay and Westcentral Bay of Bengal and partly cloudy over the North Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, weather have been generally fair in Sagaing and Taninthayi Regions, Kachin State and partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. Night temperatures were about February average temperatures in the whole country. The significant night temperatures were (2°C) in Hakha, (6°C) each in Pyinoolwin and Moekok and  (7°C) in Pinlaung.

BAY INFERENCE: Weather is generally fair in the North Bay and West Central Bay and partly cloudy in the Andaman Sea and elsewhere in the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL EVENING OF THE 13th February, 2015: Light rain are likely to be isolated in Upper Sagaing, Mandalay, Bago, Yangon and Taninthayi Regions, Kachin, Shan, Kayah, Kayin and Mon States, weather will be partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. Degree of certainty is (60%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Seas will be moderate in Myanmar waters.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of isolated light rain in the Upper Myanmar areas.
