8-9-2024:: According to the observations at (05:30) hrs M.S.T today, the Well Marked Low Pressure Area over the Northwest and adjoining Central Bay of Bengal still persists. It is likely to move nearly Northwards and may further intensify into a Depression over the Northwest Bay of Bengal (off North Odisha- Gangetic West Bengal Coast, India) during next 24 hours.Monsoon is strong over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

10 Days water level forecast

Water level forecast for Third (10) days of May 2017

The water levels of Ayeyarwady river are forecast to rise about (6-8) feet at Myitkyina, Bhamo, Shwegu, Katha, and Thabeikkyin, about (3-5) feet at Mandalay, Sagaing, Myinmu, Pakokku, Nyaung Oo, Chauk, Minbu and Magway and about (2-3) feet at Aunglan, Pyay, Seiktha, Hinthada and Zalun during the third (10) days   of   May.

 The water levels of Chindwin river are forecast to rise about (5-7) feet at Hkamti, Homalin, Phaungpyin and Mawlaik and about (2-4) feet at Kalewa, Minkin,  Kani  and  Monywa  during the third (10) days  of  May.
