BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at (18:30) hrs M.S.T today, the low pressure area over Northwest Bay and adjoining West Bengal, India and Bangladesh still persist. It is likely to move north-northwestwards during next 2 days and may further intensify into a Well-marked Löw pressure area over Bangladesh and adjoining Gangetic West Bengal, India. Thereafter, it is likely to move west-northwestwards and may cross Gangetic West Bengal and Jharkhand, India.Monsoon is moderate over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL NOON OF THE 17th August 2024: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Kayah State, fairly widespread in Magway Region and Kachin, Northern Shan States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Nayptitaw, Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway, Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and Chin, Rakhine, Mon States. Degree of certainty is 100%.
THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway, Bago, Yangon, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Shan, Chin, Rakhine, Kayah, Kayin, Mon States.
STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be moderate in Myanmar Waters. Wave height will be about 5-7 feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
