Cyclonic Storm
According to the observations at (13:30)hrs M.S.T today, the Cyclonic Storm (Gaja) over West Central Bay and adjoining Southwest Bay of Bengal has moved West-Southwestwards. It is centered at about (280)miles East of Chennai (India) and about (335)miles Northeast of Nagapattinam (India).
It is not moving towards Myanmar Coasts, the present stage of the Cyclonic Storm is coded yellow stage.

Cyclonic Storm is located at Latitude (13.0) degree North and Longitude (85.1) degree East, centre pressure of Cyclonic Storm is (998)hPa and maximum wind speed near the centre is (45-50) miles per hour at (13:30)hrs M.S.T today.
During next (12)hrs Forecast
It is forecast to further intensify into a Severe Cyclonic Storm (Gaja) during next (12)hours and move West-Southwestwards.
General caution
Due to the Cyclonic Storm, rain or thundershowers will be scattered to fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, Mandalay, Magway, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions, Shan, Chin, Rakhine and Kayah States within next (24) hours commencing today afternoon.
Squalls with rough seas are likely at times off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (35-40) m.p.h. Wave height will be about (8 - 10) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
