21-12-2024: According to the observations at (12:30) hrs M.S.T today, the Depression over Westcentral Bay of Bengal(off Andhra Pradesh coast)has moved East-Northeastwards and  now lies over Westcentral Bay of Bengal. It is centered at about 520 Nautical miles West of Coco Island (Myanmar), 235 Nautical miles South-Southeast of Visakhapatnam(India). The centre pressure of Depression is (1003) hPa and maximum wind speed near the center is (30-35) miles per hour. Weather is a few cloud over the North Andaman Sea and partly cloudy to cloudy over the South Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

According to the observations at (12:30) hrs M.S.T today, the low pressure area over the Southeast Bay of Bengal and adjoining East Equatorial Indian Ocean has intensified into a well marked low pressure area. It is likely to move West-Northwestwards and may further intensify into a depression over South Bay of Bengal around 25-11-2024. Thereafter, it is likely continue to move Northwestwards and may reach to Tamil Nadu (India)-Sri Lanka coasts during next 2 days.
