9-1-2026:According to the observations at 12:30 hrs MST today, the Deep Depression over the Southwest Bay of Bengal has moved Northwestwards. It is centered at about 835 Nautical miles Southwest of Coco-Island (Myanmar), 155 Nautical miles Southeast of Trincomalee(Sri Lanka) and 385 Nautical miles Southeast of Puducherry(Sri Lanka). It is likely to move Northwestwards and may cross North Sri Lanka coast between Trincomalee and Jaffna during next 24 hours. Weather is a few cloud over the North Andaman Sea, North Bay and Eastcentral Bay and partly cloudy to cloudy over the South Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

According to the observations at (06:00) hrs MST today, yesterday's the tropical depression over the Gulf of Thailand has made landfall over Prachuap Khiri Khan (Thailand). It has moved to West- Northwestwards and crossed to Taninthayi Region as a low pressure area. It lies over the North Andaman Sea still persists.
