Severe Cyclonic Storm Condition
According to the observations at (12:30) hrs M.S.T today, the Cyclonic Storm “MICHAUNG” over Westcentral Bay and adjoining Southwest Bay of Bengal off South Andhra Pradesh and adjoining North Tamil Nadu coasts has moved Northwestwards and intensified into a Severe Cyclonic Storm “MICHAUNG”. It is centered at about (725) Nautical miles West of Coco Island, (790) Nautical miles West-Southwest of Hainggyigyun (Myanmar), (110) Nautical miles Northeast of Puducherry, (50) Nautical miles East-Northeast of Chennai, (85) Nautical miles Southeast of Nellore and (165) Nautical miles South of Machilipatnam (India).
It is not moving towards Myanmar coasts, the present stage of the Severe Cyclonic Storm “MICHAUNG” is coded yellow stage.

Severe Cyclonic Storm “MICHAUNG” is likely to move nearly Northwards almost parallel to South Andhra Pradesh coast and cross South Andhra Pradesh coast between Nellore and Machilipatnam, India on (5.12.2023).
