24-11-2024: According to the observations at (12:30) hrs M.S.T today, the low pressure area over the Southeast Bay of Bengal and adjoining East Equatorial India Ocean has intensified into a Well Marked Low Pressure Area. It is likely to move West-Northwestwards and may further intensify into a depression over South Bay of Bengal around 25-11-2024. Thereafter, it is likely continue to move Northwestwards and may reach to Tamil Nadu (India)-Sri Lanka coasts during next 2 days. Weather is cloudy over the South Andaman Sea, South Bay and Westcentral Bay of Bengal and partly cloudy over the North Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

Monsoon & Bay of Bengal Condition

          Southwest monsoon is likely to withdrawal in Northern Myanmar areas during (15-20) of September, Central Myanmar areas during (21-26) of September, Deltaic areas during 27th September to 2nd October.

          Two Low Pressure Areas may form over  Bay of Bengal and One may further intensify into the depressions.  Monsoon will be moderate in the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

Rain Condition and Rainy Days

     Rain or thundershowers will be expected above normal in Yangon, Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions, Rakhine and Mon States and about normal rain in Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway and Bago Regions, Kachin, Shan, Chin, Kayah and Kayin States.

      Rainy days will be expected (21) to (26) days in Upper Sagaing, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions, Kachin, Chin, Rakhine, Kayin and Mon States and (15) to (20) days in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay and Magway Regions, Shan and Kayah States.
