Late Monsoon Period
Late monsoon period is a period of starting from 1st September to the date of Monsoon withdrawal from the whole country.
Withdrawal of Southwest Monsoon
Southwest monsoon is likely to withdrawal in:
• Northern Myanmar Areas during (12-18) September
• Central Myanmar Areas during (19-25) September
• Deltaic Areas during (26) September to (1) October
• Southern Myanmar Areas during (2 – 7) October
Bay of Bengal Condition
Three low pressure areas may form over the Bay of Bengal and two may further intensify into the Depressions. Monsoon will be weak to moderate over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.
Rain Conditions
Rain will be expected about normal in Nay Pyi Taw, Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Shan, Chin, Rakhine, Kayah, Kayin, Mon States.
