SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been fairly widespread in Upper Sagaing Region, scattered in Yangon Region and Shan state, isolated in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Bago, Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions, Kachin, Chin and Kayin States, weather has been partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. Day temperatures were (3°C) above March average temperatures in Taninthayi Region and Rakhine State and about March average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant day temperatures were (40°C) each in Chauk, Minbu, Magway, Kyobinkauk and Theinzayet. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were Myawady (1.50) inches, Moemate (0.98) inch, Yangon (Mingaladon) (0.75) inch, Pathein (0.67) inch, Hinthada (0.43) inch, Kalaywa (0.31) inch, Yangon (Kaba-Aye) (0.23) inch, Kyainseikkyi (0.21) inch and Kengtung, Namsam and Kalay (0.15) inch each.
BAY INFERENCE: Weather is partly cloudy in the South Bay and generally fair in the Andaman Sea and elsewhere in the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL EVENING OF THE 30th March, 2015: Weather will be partly cloudy in Magway Region, Rakhine and Kayah States and rain or thundershowers are likely to be isolated in the remaining Regions and States. Degree of certainty is (60%).
STATE OF THE SEA: Strong easterly winds with moderate to rough sea are likely at times off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Surface wind speed in strong easterly wind may reach (35) m.p.h. Seas will be moderate elsewhere in Myanmar waters.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Continuation of likelihood of isolated rain or thundershowers in the Upper Myanmar areas.
