BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is vigorous over the Andaman Sea and South Bay of Bengal and strong elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL NOON OF THE 12th June, 2023: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Lower Sagaing, Magway Regions and Kayah State, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, Upper Sagaing, Mandalay, Bago Region and (Northern and Eastern) Shan, Chin States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of regionally heavyfalls in Taninthayi Region and isolated heavyfalls in Upper Sagaing, Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kachin, Rakhine, Mon States. Degree of certainty is (100%).
THE CONDITION OFCUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus cloudsaredevelopingin the Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin State.The area along the Cumulonimbus clouds movement, the weather phenomena such as strong winds accompanied with rain, thunder, lightning and hail may occur and therefore it is recommended to be aware in advance these phenomena.
STATE OF THE SEA: Occasional squalls with rough seas will be experienced in Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (40) mph. Squalls with rough seas are likely at times in Deltaic, off and along Rakhine Coast. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (35-40) mph. Wave height will be about (9-12) feet in Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts and (9-10) feet in Deltaic, off and along Rakhine Coast.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Increase of rain in Upper Sagaing, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Shan, Rakhine, Kayin, Mon States.
