24-10-2025:According to the observations at 15:30 hrs MST today, the low pressure area over the Southeast Bay of Bengal still persists. It is likely to move West-Northwestwards and may further intensify into a depression over Southeast and adjoining Central Bay of Bengal on 25-10-2025 and further into a Deep Depression on 26-10-2025 and into a Cyclonic Storm over the Southwest and adjoining Westcentral Bay of Bengal on 27-10-2025. Weather is cloudy over the South Andaman Sea and South Bay and a few cloud to partly cloudy over the North Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is weak to moderate over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and strong elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL EVENING OF THE 16th June, 2017: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Lower Sagaing, Magway and Taninthayi Regions, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, Mandalay Region, Kayah State, widespread in Upper Sagaing, Bago, Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions, Kachin, Shan, Chin, Rakhine, Kayin and Mon States with likelihood of  isolated heavy falls in Kachin and Rakhine states. Degree of certainly is (100%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Occasional squalls with rough seas will be experienced Deltaic, off and along Rakhine Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (40) m.p.h. Seas will be moderate elsewhere in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (8 - 10) feet in Deltaic and Rakhine Coasts and (4 - 6) feet in Gulf of Mottama and Mon - Taninthayi Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS:  Likelihood of increase of rain in Kachin State.
