BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is moderate over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and weak elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
SPECIAL FEACTURES: According to the observations at (15:30)hrs MST today, the Tropical Storm “Noru” over Southern Laos continue to move Westwards and it is likely to reach over Thailand in the morning of (29.9.2022) and weaken gradually into a Land Depression.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 29th September, 2022: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Sagaing Region and Kachin, (Northern and Eastern) Shan States, scattered in Napyitaw, Mandalay, Magway Regions and Southern Shan, Chin States, fairly widespread in Bago Region and Rakhine, Kayah States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Taninthayi Region and Kayin, Mon States. Degree of certainty is (100%).
STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (30-35) mph. Sea will be moderate elsewhere in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (7-9) feet in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts and about (4-6) feet off and along Rakhine Coast.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of withdrawal of Southwest monsoon from Central Myanmar areas.
