SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours,weather has been partly cloudy in Eastern Shan State. Rain or thundershowers have been isolated inLower Sagaing Region, scattered in Mandalay, Magway Regions and Northern Shan, KayahStates, fairly widespread inNaypyitaw, Taninthayi Region and Southern Shan, Chin States and widespreadin the remaining Regions and States.The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were(2.48) inchesin Manaung, (2.28) inchesinRathedaung, (2.06)inches in Rambree, (1.80) inches in Bogale, (1.69) inches each in Phyu and Kyonpyaw, (1.66) inches in Kyaukpyu, (1.57) inches in Sittweand (1.54) inches in Shwekyin.

BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at (13:30)hrs M.S.T today, the low pressure area over the Northwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining off Odisha Coast, India now lies over Northwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining  North Odisha- West Bengal Coasts, India still persists. It is likely to move West-Northwestwards and cross NorthOdishaand North Chhattisgarh, India during next (2) days.Monsoon is weak over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and moderate elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 21stSeptember, 2022: Rain or thundershowers will bescatteredin Naypyitaw,Lower SagaingMandalay, Magway Regions and KayahState, fairly widespread inBago, TaninthayiRegions and Shan, Chin, Kayin, Mon Statesand widespread in the remaining Regions and Stateswith likelihood of isolatedheavyfalls in Upper Sagaing, AyeyarwadyRegions and KachinStates.Degree of certainty is (100%).

STATE OF THE SEA:Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times in Deltaic, off and along RakhineCoast. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (30-35) mph. Sea will be moderate elsewhere in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (8-10) feet in Deltaic, off and along RakhineCoast and about (5-7) feet in Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS:Likelihood ofthundery activities in the Northern Myanmar Areas.
