23-11-2024: According to the observations at (15:30) hrs M.S.T today, the low pressure area has formed over East Equatorial India Ocean and adjoining Southeast Bay of Bengal still persists. It is likely to move West-Northwestwards and may further intensify into a depression over South Bay of Bengal around 25-11-2024. Thereafter, its likely to move Northwestwards and may reach to Tamil Nadu(India)-Sri Lanka coasts during next 2 days. Weather is cloudy over the South Andaman Sea and South Bay of Bengal and a few cloud to partly cloudy over the North Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

Bay of Bengal Condition

Three low pressure areas may form over the Bay of Bengal and one may further intensify into a depression. Southwest monsoon is likely to withdrawal in Northern Myanmar Areas during (13-18) of September,  Central Myanmar Deltaic Areas during (19-24) of September and Deltaic Areas during (25-30) of September. Monsoon will be weak to moderate over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

Rain Conditions and Rainy Days

Rain will be expected above normal in Taninthayi Region, below normal in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin, Northern Shan States and about normal in Nay Pyi Taw, Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and Southern and Eastern Shan, Chin, Rakhine, Kayah , Kayin, Mon States.

Rainy days will be expected (21) to (25) days in East Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Southern Shan, Rakhine, Kayin, Mon States, about (16) to (20) days Upper Sagaing, West Bago, Northern and Eastern Shan, Chin States and about (11) to (15) days in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing, Madalay, Magway Regions and Kayah State.
