BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is moderate to strong over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and vigorous elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
SPECIAL FEACTURES: According to the observations at (05:30)hrs MST today, the wave over Western Myanmar areas has reached over Northeast Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL EVENING OF THE 13th August, 2022: Rain or thundershowers will be fairly widespread in Taninthayi Region and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of regionally heavyfalls in Ayeyarwady Region and Rakhine State and isolated heavyfalls in Upper Sagaing, Bago, Yangon Regions and Kachin, Chin, Mon States. Degree of certainty is (100%).
STATE OF THE SEA: Occasionally squall with rough seas will be in Deltaic, off and along Rakhine Coast. Surface wind speed in squall may reach (40) mph. Squall with rough seas are likely at times in Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coast. Surface wind speed in squall may reach (35-40) mph.
