25-12-2024: According to the observations at (17:30) hrs M.S.T today, the Well Marked Low Pressure Area over Southwest Bay of Bengal(off South Andhra Pradesh-North Tamil Nadu Coasts, India) still persists. It is likely to weaken gradually into a Low Pressure Area during next 24 hours. Weather is a few cloud over the Eastcentral and Southeast Bay of Bengal and partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24)hrs, rain or thundershowers have been fairly widespread in Taninthayi Region, isolated in Kachin and Mon  States with isolated heavy falls in Mon State and weather has been partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. Day temperatures were (2°C) above April average temperatures in Upper Sagaing, Magway, Bago and Ayeyarwady Regions, Eastern Shan State, (3°C) to (4°C) above April average temperatures in Lower Sagaing and Mandalay Regions, Kachin, (Northern and Southern)Shan, Chin and Kayah States and about April average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant day temperatures were (44°C) each in Chauk and Magway, (43°C) each in Naungoo, Minbu Bawlakhae, (42°C) each in Monywa, Sagaing, Mandalay, Myingyan, Yamethin, Kyaukse, Naypyitaw (Yezin), Taungdwingyi, Gangaw, Pauk, Sinphyugyun, Pyay, Taunggu, Hlaingdet and Myinmu. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were Yay (3.35)inches, Dawei (0.91)inch and Myeik (0.23) inch.

BAY INFERENCE: Weather is partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and Southeast Bay and partly cloudy elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 10th April, 2017: Rain or thundershowers will be fairly widespread in Taninthayi Region, scattered in Kachin State, isolated in Upper Sagaing, Bago and Yangon Regions, Chin, Northern Rakhine, Kayah, Kayin and Mon States. Degree of certainly is (80%). Weather will be partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States.

STATE OF THE SEA: Seas will be moderate in Myanmar waters.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Continuation of likelihood of rain or thundershowers in Taninthayi Region, Kayin and Mon States.
