SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24)hrs, rain or thundershowers have been widespread in Eastern Shan State, scattered in Lower Sagaing and Taninthayi Regions and Kachin State, isolated in Upper Sagaing and Mandalay Regions, (Northern & Sourthern)Shan and Mon States, weather has been partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. Day temperatures was (3°C) below March average temperatures in Eastern Shan State, (3°C) above March average temperatures in Southern Shan State and about March average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant day temperatures were (41°C)in Chauk, (40°C)each in Minbu, Magway, Aunglan, Taungdwingyi, Taunggu and Bawlakhae. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were Yay (0.78)inch, Mong Yang (0.55)inch, Machabaw (0.51)inch, Putao (0.31)inch, Minesat (0.28)inch, Kengtung (0.19)inch and Moekok (0.16)inch.
BAY INFERENCE: Weather is generally fair over the Central Bay and partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 30th March, 2017: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Upper Sagaing and Taninthayi Regions and Kachin State, isolated in Lower Sagaing and Mandalay Regions, Shan, Chin, Kayin and Mon States.
