SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24)hrs, rain or thundershowers have been widespread in Kachin State, isolated in Upper Sagaing and Taninthayi Regions and Eastern Shan State and weather has been partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. Day temperatures were (3°C) above March average temperatures in Mon State and about March average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant day temperatures were (42°C) in Bawlakhae, (41°C) each in Chauk, Shwegyin, Nyaunglaybin and Theinzayet. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were Myeik (1.45) inches, Machanbaw (0.63)inch, Putao (0.32)inch, Moenyin and Hkamti (0.24)inch each and Homalin (0.15)inch.
BAY INFERENCE: Weather is partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and generally fair elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 28th March, 2017: Rain or thundershowers will be fairly widespread in Taninthayi Region and Kachin State, scattered in Upper Sagaing Region and Shan State, isolated in Lower Sagaing, Bago and Yangon Regions, Chin, Kayah, Kayin and Mon States.
