SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been scattered in Upper Sagaing and Taninthayi Regions, Kachin and Chin States, weather has been partly cloudy in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay and Magway Regions, Rakhine and Mon States and generally fair in the remaining Regions and States. Day temperatures were (4°C) below March average temperatures in Upper Sagaing Region and about March average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant day temperatures were (40°C) in Bawlakhae and (39°C) in Minbu. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were Putao (0.23)inch, Machanbaw (0.20)inch, Tiddim, Hkamti and Pinlaebu (0.08)inch each.

BAY INFERENCE: Weather is partly cloudy over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 20th March, 2017: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin State, isolated in Taninthayi Region, Northern Shan and Chin States. Degree of certainly is (80%). Weather will be generally fair in Bago, Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions, Kayah State and partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States.

STATE OF THE SEA: Seas will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Continuation of likelihood of rain or thundershowers in Upper Sagaing Region, Kachin and Chin States.
