24-12-2024: According to the observations at (17:30) hrs M.S.T today, the Well Marked Low Pressure Area over Southwest Bay of Bengal(off South Andhra Pradesh-North Tamil Nadu Coasts, India) still persists. It is likely to move West-Southwestwards and weaken gradually into a Low Pressure Area during next 24 hours. Weather is a few cloud over the North Andaman Sea and North Bay of Bengal and partly cloudy to cloudy over the South Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, Upper Sagaing Region, Kachin and Chin States, scattered in Shan, Rakhine and Kayah States, isolated in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway and Bago Regions and weather has been partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. Day temperatures were (3°C) to (4°C) below March average temperatures in Lower Sagaing and Magway Regioins, (Northern & Southern)Shan and Chin States. The significant day temperatures were (39°C)in Bawlakhae and (38°C) in Nyaunglaybin. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were Kyauktaw (1.30)inches, Paletwa (1.06)inches, Naypyitaw (Zabuthiri) and Maungdaw (0.95)inch each, Pyinmana (0.71)inch, Naypyitaw (Zayarthiri) (0.59)inch, Hakha and Taungdwingyi (0.55)inch each, Falam (0.51)inch, Tiddim and Sittwe (0.36)inch each.

BAY INFERENCE: Weather is partly cloudy over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 12th March, 2017: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Upper Sagaing Region, Kachin, Northern Shan, Chin and Rakhine States and isolated in the remaining Regions and States. Degree of certainly is (80%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Seas will be moderate in Myanmar waters.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Continuation of rain or thundershowers in Naypyitaw, Upper Sagaing and Mandalay Regions, Kachin, Shan, Chin and Rakhine States.
