SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been fairly widespread in Upper Sagaing Region, scattered in Mandalay Region, Kachin, Shan and Chin States, isolated in Naypyitaw and Lower Sagaing Region and weather has been partly cloudy to cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. Day temperatures were about March average temperatures in the whole country. The significant day temperatures were (39°C) each in Aunglan, Pyay and Bawlakhae. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were Pinlaung (1.10) inches, Tiddim (0.63) inch, Myitkyina (0.28) inch, Pinlaebu (0.24) inch and Loilin (0.20)inch.
BAY INFERENCE: Weather is generally fair over the East Central Bay and partly cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 10th March, 2017: Weather will be partly cloudy in Kayin and Mon States. Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Upper Sagaing Region, Kachin, Shan and Chin States and isolated in the remaining Regions and States. Degree of certainly is (80%).
STATE OF THE SEA: Seas will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters.
